The people who give you “that stare”
When you try to make them aware—
Their doom hasn’t hit yet
So they don’t get upset
And for now, they simply don’t care.

For teaching and having minds turn,
The time left should be of concern;
It is hard to bestow
Understanding PO
When it took us much longer to learn.

Peak oil study’s long, you will find,
‘Cause there’s so many facts intertwined;
With that is combined:
You need time to unwind,
Or you’d probably lose your mind.

If you’re saving-the-world obsessed,
And your warning’s not being addressed,
Think how learning your quest
Took awhile to digest,
And then lie down and take a nice rest.
